Hello guys! Just wanted to get your inputs regarding this. Primarily because I want to know what new albums I can pick up, but also because I'm a list-lover

hehe.

Anyway, It's up to you how many albums you want to list

Here's a reference to what metacritic thinks

They collate reviews from a lot of sites and magazines from all over to get the general reaction of people regarding a product

A lot of the people here are going to have similar lists so metacritic's, so I will list what I think about their list should be changed.

1. Sleater-Kinney shouldn't be there.
2. The Books should be at the top.
3. M.I.A. should be lower.
4. LCD Soundsystem should be higher.
5. Spoon should be 2nd or 3rd.
6. Eels should be lower.
7. The Magic Numbers shouldn't be there.
8. Stars should be much higher.
9. Mountain Goats should be top 5.

And that's all that I can think of, not including the 10 or so records on that list that I haven't even heard.

So The Books is tops for you huh?

for future posters, if you could also critique metacritic's list, please do so.

I haven't heard many, but I was curious if they could somehow have missed Illinois. Guess not.

I haven't heard a lot of that list but I like the following albums from it alot:

- Illinoise
- Bright Eyes. I also like his concurrently released album "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn"
- Picaresque
- Demon Days

I haven't heard the new Eels album, but I'm a big fan of their other work.

edit: i also really like the new White Stripes album: "Get behind me Satan"

I agree with that selection too. It is actually the only Lemon Jelly album I've heard but I like it a lot.

I heard a little bit of one of the songs on NPR a few days ago. I'm looking forward to it's release.
