Putting aside sound quality for a moment, along with any debate about V shaped/neutral designs, ignoring wireless, if an amp is required, and even ignoring price (although a few suggestions at different price points would be nice)... What are the absolutely most comfortable closed head phones you've ever worn or had recommended? I'm talking maximum comfort, wear for 24 hours, etc.

As mentioned I have a big head and big ears, love big pads. My biggest issue is making sure that the flat inside/driver part of the phones don't press against my ears.

I'm trying to get some Sony XB1000s, because although they look absurd, they also look really comfy and I'm intrigued by their bass.

So what are the most comfortable ones you've worn at any price and sound quality?

HD 250 Linear II nothing comes even close to their comfort, you could wear them 24/7 very lightweight and still seal extremely well! Ohh and they sound freaking awesome (I prefer them much more over my HD800).

The AKG K872 is by far the most comfortable closed back headphones I've tried and own.

Not surprising as I've had all the for mentioned headphones on my head and they don't come close to being as comfortable as the K872's.

my vote goes to the HD820, the K872 (pretty loose fit because it has almost no clamping pressure, but if you have a big head should fit just fine) or the Mr. Speakers Ether C among TOTL closed over ears.

Z1R is ok too but the headband is on the thin side compared to the others. Sound wise not an option for me though.

AudioQuest NightOwls have been called "most comfortable" by reviewers. With their suspension system they are really floating on my head, with no pressure points whatsoever.
If you require very good seal though you might want to look elsewhere, since they do leak a little. In return they have an awesome soundstage for a closed ear, concert hall deep with the right recording and right DAC (Chord Mojo in my case)
