I must say, my crappiest pair of cans are a the Sony MDR-7506. Not only are the eap pads falling apart, but they just sound butt nasty. I bought these things a few years ago thinking if they are good enough for studio use, their good enough for me. Yeah, right! No bass, thin and distant midrange, and harsh treble. Maybe these are the cans Madonna's producers are using now! lol

On the other hand, my Sennheiser HD600's are the cream of the crop!

Wow... either those drivers are seriously fried, or the cans are faulty... that sure doesn't look like a description of the V6/7506 that i've ever seen before

On the other hand, the torture devices that came with my sister's El Cheapo portable CD player are better, and although muffled to the point where it IS unbearable, they have decent bass, and she isn't an audiophile so she could care less.

The V6/7506 are very source dependent. On a lot of sources they are just dead honest, if the source is less than ideal for these are going to tell you that. The Sony D-14 and the V6 are a painful combination, the V6's are already bright and the D-14's brightness through these gets piercing and fatigueing really fast. But they seem to get along with some sources pretty well, like my Sony MZ-S1 (when the headphone out still worked properly) and my new iRiver IMP-350. These seem to make better portable cans than for home use, especially because their relatively monotone bass is so punchy except that cord is really annoying for portable use.

I once got a pair of earbuds...let's put it this way, they were so bad, that they didn't even come with a player of some sort, they came with a ten-pack of cassettes.

Currently... probably the ear buds that came with my rio volt mp3 player or the crap that came with one of my old discman. Ever... hmmm I don't remember what brand but they were some ear buds that came out in the early days of the "for digital" explosion. Oh and the original gameboy buds!!!
