Im looking to buy some new headphones, mostly to listen to trance music as well as producing trance music. Which headphones would be the best for this in the range of 100-350$? Ive been looking at the HFI-2200's, but any info would be great

Yep, Ultrasones are made for kickbass, for more relaxing ambient experience go with the K702.

An Ultrasone should be a good choice. How well they perform depends in part on what they're plugged into. I owned the Proline 650 and used it from a low-fi sound card for enjoying trance / electronic music. I suggest researching your choice of Ultrasones more before choosing. You may even want to contact Ultrasone for a recommendation.
