I am looking to order some Orthodynamic headphones this weekend. My budget is going to be about 400-500 dollars. I don't mind buying used as long as they were cared for. They would be used for a lot of different things. And would be powered by a Schiit lyr 2. I listen to all types of music besides country. And may occasionally be used for gaming.
The models I have looked at were
Hifiman 400 series
Fostex TH-500RP

Are there any other models I should consider, or is there a reason to not consider one of these? I use to own the original he400 but had to sell them due to needing money at the time. I did like them and wouldn't mind something like that again.

You can find a used pair of he-560's for around $500, and those are some amazing headphones.
I heard the Oppo PM-3's are pretty good too, but those go for around $600 new, might be able to find them on sale somewhere though.
