I was wondering if very many companies will let you send in your buds to be repaired if the cords snap. I've always had cheap headphones... so if the wire breaks, no big deal. But I'm in the market now for something that sounds good
My main concern is the repair service for my unlucky trend of faulty wires/clumsiness. I realize that it won't be covered under the warranty (unlikely at least), but I would just like the peace of mind that I can send them back for a reasonable cost.
I was going to buy super.fi's because of their replaceable wires (which is genius) but I read that they may be too big for small ear cannals
Then I saw the q-jays and I fell in love with them, they would be perfect for me. But I got a response back on their forums saying that if I broke the wire I'd have to buy a new pair. The thought of throwing $179 buds in the trash makes me cringe. http://forum.jays.se/forums/thread/1044.aspx
Are most companies like Jays? Maybe I'd probably be better off buying a cheap pair every year or two
