Looking into some amps to get with my RS-1 I will be purchasing, any suggestions? I'm not sure on a price range, but $200 is optimum, but will spend more if it will benefit me (worth the upgrade cost--max 400ish)

Used is an option, don't mind getting better gear at a cheaper price than new gear at the same price

Score yourself a used hybrid amp in the FS forums.

For under $200, the Little Dot I+ is a great choice. It sends a ton of power to low impedance headphones, like Grados, and drives my 225i's incredibly well. They sound noticeably faster and more dynamic on the I+ than on my Zero's built in amp.

Seconded. I bought this amp as it was a cheap valve amp and really did not expect great things from it - how wrong could I have been? How could this little amp from eBay compete with my mighty Creak amp? Well, I don't own the Creak any more....

If you go for this amp, I would replace the stock tubes - either order it with better tubes or search online. If the "better" Little Dots are as good as the LD 1+ you won't go far wrong with any of them as far as I can see.

Do these suggestions work with RS2i's aswell as with RS1's?

I second the hybrid amp suggestion. the SS power feeds the current needed by the headphones and tube rolling allows you to play with the final sound. Pick up a minimax if you can find one.

And yes, the amp synergizes well with the full Grado line.
