What Amp For Beyerdynamic DT990 250-Ohm

By MixAmp, do you mean this? http://www.astrogaming.com/mixamp%E2%84%A2-pro/3AM99-HBU9X-975.html

If so, there are a bunch of different options that will blow it out of the water.

I personally liked my FiiO E10, it actually powered my 250 Ohm DT880's quite well on the high gain setting.

Sorry, I did not mean to say mixamp. I am looking for a headphone amplifier.

For something portable, the FiiO E11.
Desktop, the Schiit Magni.

I don't really need something portable. The Schiit Magni seems pretty good spec wise and price wise. The website says it can power up to 600 ohms; is this true, or am I reading it wrong?

I'm sure it's true.

Thank you :). I believe I will be going with the Schiit Magni.

Apparently the Vali is the new Schiit to get. :D

oops forgot about the Vali, might even be better for 250-Ohm headphones.

I just got those headphones!
! I love them on my Audiotrak Prodigy HD2 Advance DE which have support for 170 ohm, and it makes me wonder how much better they will sound on the following DACs?
  • iFi Audio Zen DAC
  • ASUS Xonar Essence STX II (sound card with RCA)
  • Schiit Vali
  • Cambridge Audio DacMagic 100
  • Aune X1s
  • Emotiva XDA-2
or perhaps there is something better out there?
