I have a song stuck in my head that I cannot remember the name to or who performed it. I believe it came out in the (early?) 90's, but I'm not sure. It's kind of an alt rock ballad. I heard it on a retro program on a Providence, RI station.
It starts off like this:
I remember you,
Do you remember me too?
Born on the fourteenth of July,
That's as far as I remember before the chorus...
Then the chorus goes:
'Cause I would give everything that I own,
I'd give you this flesh and this skin and these bones,
The sun the moon the earth the sky,
The motorcycle that I like to ride,
I would give anything, I would give anything,
To be your everything
Of course, I could be a bit off on the lyrics. If anybody knows the song/band, please speak up before I go mad!!!
Thanks in advance.
