Hey Demetrio! Do you post at 'audio asylum' as well? You sound familiar! Plus you have GREAT taste in music!

Yes, I have been joining Audio Asylum for a while indeed (especially the Rocky Road subforum). I also like to post at Rave Recordings and Audioholics.

Hey, nice choice.. brings a little smile to my face that it's part of your collection..

(when I'm sad, I suppose I prefer complimentary music, because I'm enjoying it in the spirit that it was intended - for some reason, if I listen to music contrary to my mood, it's just wrong and it's like a car crash in my brain)

my choices:

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - THE GOOD SON
Mercury Rev - YERSELF IS STEAM
Bark Psychosis - HEX
Centaur - IN STREAMS
Galaxie 500 - ON FIRE
Low - SECRET NAME
Codeine - FRIGID STARS LP
Joy Division - CLOSER
The Cure - SEVENTEEN SECONDS

As for SLOWDIVE, I thank you a lot for introducing me to this great stuff some time ago (and other great bands alike, such as Bark Psychosis, Mercury Rev and Doves).

Cliche I suppose but...

Pet Sounds - Beach Boys.

Even after literally hundreds of listens, it still holds enough power to force out the tears and, better still, leaves me feeling better after it's done, not wallowing in my own self-pity.

Anything by Mojave 3 or Neil Halstead's solo album "Sleeping on Roads".
Anything by Nick Drake.
Tindersticks if I'm feeling really terminal.
The Cure's "Disintegration" is in my opinion their opus to depression. You
can definitely lose yourself in it.
Pretty much 75% of my music.

Totally Damien Rice - O.

Although, if it involves a girl, I'd vote for Beck - Sea Change.

Depends on what kind of sadness. If it's about sadness involving love, I'd go for Placebo - Meds, Eskobar - A Thousand Last Chances and Sigur Ros - Agaetis Burjyn.

Really? It makes me feel strong and awesome, like a wolf on a Harley Davidsson, with a leather vest featuring an eagle. Or such.
