I now own this phone and want to get the Westone UM 3x but hear through the forums that there is a problem with Hiss on the new Ipod Touch ? Here there a problem with hiss on this phone(Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant)?
 
My requirements are NO HISS
Use low volume and get enough volume without having to crank it up.
No thumping bass(Bass with warmth)
Great High/lows/midrange/
Comfortable fit.
Great Sound stage.
 
The problem with this purchase is you can't try before you buy and no store in BC Canada sell Westone. So I have to buy on line.
 
$375 is the most I want to spend
 
 
Hopefully someone is using the Westone UM3X  on  their Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant.

a lot (if not most) sources will have some hiss with high sensitivity/low impedance IEM's. my HTC Incredible has some noticeable hiss in between songs. not a deal breaker IMO because otherwise the source sounds fantastic.
