Hello all, first post in here. I had a set of UM2's for about 10yrs that finally died on me earlier this year. I recently purchased a pair of Vsonic VDS3's that I actually have been impressed with. I currently use them with an ipod nano 6th gen. I love loud music, and also like a strong amount of bass as I listen mostly to hip hip with some rock mixed in.
What I'm wondering is if I'd notice a substantial improvement over my current vsd3's with another IEM priced under $200? I'm thinking about pairing up my ipod with a portable amp, like the Fiio 11 so I can hopefully get an increase in volume along with maybe some better sound quality. If it's loudness and more bass that I'm after would I be better off trying a pair of cans instead of in ears?
