It's really sad, but if I'm getting an ES2, I'd probably have to pay that much because I'm in the UK. I guess if I can get them HK, it'll cost around $750.

If you come to the next National Head-Fi Meet, you'll probably get them for $650 (or, who knows, maybe they might offer a Head-Fi Nat'l Meet discount?) -- and the difference between that and the usual Europe price would likely pay for the airfare to the meet, where these

abound for your listening pleasure (and all the other toys, as well) -- to distract and entertain you while you wait for your ES2s.
