Hi guys, was wondering, how good is the sound staging on the westone 3? (Possibly comparitive to Sennheiser's IE8?) and d'you think its a good choice for Rap and Hip Hop?

W3 offers far better fit and ergonomics.  Bass is about the same but W3 overall presentation is more detailed throughout.  Soundstage is also about the same (big).   Overall I prefer the W3 and it is great for hip hop and rap.

Absolutely for Rap and HH. Soundstaging coming from the 8's may be lacking for you. They both are very large but the 8's win out. But, the W3's give amazing details and separation, so you get it back with that.
