Update: as it turns out, the problem only occurs when I have in my monster turbines or my bose On-Ears. it doesnt happen if i'm just listening to speakers. Thus, i can only conclude it has something to do with pressure and that its something behind the ear drum. The doctor said my ears are immaculately clean. he also said that the eardrum isnt shiny like it shoudl be and its a bit darker in color than the other ear.

Still yet I would lay off the phone's for awhile and listen to Your music at the lowest level You can hear it at. Did You explain to the Dr. what happened as far as the phone's go and to listening to just speaker's was not a problem?

Yes, I told him exactly what was happening but I seriously dont trust his decision. theres been multiple occasions when i've told him what the problem was and what my theory was on what was wrong yet he insisted on doing it his way and a month later I was still sitting there with the same problem. Then when he finally just gave me the treatment I was requesting in the first place I was better within a couple days. He insisted I had herpes despite me being tested and coming up negative (one ingrown hair, for christ's sake).

Every time I go there he basically pulls some diagnostic out of his butt, gives me a ton of expensive prescriptions to fill out (50 bucks after insurance for ear drops. What) and then says "come back in 2 weeks if its not better and i'll refer you to a specialist". why wouldnt he just refer me to the effing specialist in the first place if he has no clue whats wrong? its obviously an inner ear problem and he KNOWS he doesnt have the vices to fix it, yet he'll screw around with my head for a few weeks before getting me some real help.

As far as the Herpes thing goes, if You had Chicken Pox it is basically the same thing. It stay's dormant in the nervous system and when Your immune system is extremely low that's when it can reemerge as the shingle's thru a nerve. Your eye or the ear, back etc.. Call His office and ask the nurse for ENT recommendation, name, address, #, if not find one Yourself that except's Your insurance and get a new primary!

Do whatever it takes to get to an ENT as soon as possible. I had a doctor fiddle around and that's how my ear drum got punctured (blew a hole).

You should see a specialist.  A good doctor is a good listener.  A doctor with an attitude (I'm the doctor; you're just a dumb patient) is trouble waiting to happen.  In the meantime, chew gum.  I always chew gum when I'm congested or flying.  It clears things in a jiffy.

Gonna tell my experience with ear issues:

About 2 months ago I had a very close issue on my right ear like the OP that foamy sound plus something my inner ear would just vibrate like a bad hiccup and after that it would give me a static noise for a few seconds, really irritating happened more frequently with allergy season and using IEMS, skipped the general doctor and went straight to a specialist an otorhinolaryngologist, while asking questions he proceed to check my ears afterwards my nose and throat afterwards asked me for an audiometry test, did it immediately on a room next to his office with a technician, went back with the results, he said "Aha just as I thought" and continued "As you see you are not crazy you clearly have a deficit on your right side, it's not your ear but your nose that has the problem you have one of your breathing cavities on the bridge of your nose a bit smaller than the left one that one is making your airflow messed up". And showed me a diagram of the interconnected system between nose, ear, throat. Then he goes, you need to have these exams but I assure you its going to need a septoplasty to correct your nose canals.

So I did all the exams he asked me, scanners, blood etc went back to his office and we set up a date for the operation, he had no doubt on the issue and I went into surgery 2 weeks ago, fast forward today one week after taking out the pads that where inside my nose acting as corks I test my decommissioned RE-0 (gave to my sister) and sound is pristine and clear no problems on my right side no foamy textures no extra hiss, no bloody "electronic noise".

For the op whatever you have ditch that doctor and get a specialist I cant tell you how happy I'm after doing the surgery plus I had an eminence on my country to do the surgery so It was going to work or work. I love hearing in perfect stereo again without any issue.

Just an update. I'm trying to get in touch with a proper ear specialist. Unfortunately, my doctor's incompetent secretaries put me on a 45 minute (not exaggerating) hold just to talk to someone. I tried on monday to get in touch with him. He had told me to call if the ear problem persisted, and it has gotten no better. I got put on hold for 45 minutes, then the nurse finally came on. I told her that i was told to call back if the problem was still there and to ask for the name of an audiologist. She said the doctor will call me back either that afternoon or the next day after 4. I told her to make sure he calls my cell number because I will probably not be home to take their call, and gave the cell number.

Obviously, they called my house number at about 1 PM and rather than leave a name and number, asked me to "call them back". so now im sitting on hold for another 20 minutes (and counting) to speak to someone. Probably they'll keep this game of phone tag up until I decide "screw my ears" or "screw this hospital" and try to find a different provider.
