Okay before I get flamed ... I own a hakko 936 .... that said I was at lowes getting ONE thing and I stumbled on the weller battery powered soldering iron, the box read it reached 900 degrees so I figured What I can always return it.
I took it home, tinned the tip which is small. and sure enough it made good connections and cleaned up nicely. Yea it has some cons but for a quick job I think it's not bad.
Anyone else try it?
