Hi,

What jazz albums have you been listening to lately that combine great musical artistry in performance together with a great recording to enjoy on your headphones?

Here are 25 jazz albums that I feel combine both aspects:

C.I. Williams, When Alto Was King
Cannonball Aderley, Somethin' Else
Christy Baron, I Thought About You
Dave Brubeck Quartet, Time Out
Clifford Jordan Quartet, Live at Ethell's
Dee Dee Bridgewater, Live in Paris
Diana Krall, Live in Paris
Earl "Fatha" Hines, Honor Thy Fatha
Howard Alden, I Remember Django
Joe Lovano Quartets, Live at The Village Vanguard
John Pizzarelli, Live at Birdland
Kazumi Watanabe, Jazz Impressions
Lee Morgan, The Sidewinder
Martin Taylor, Artistry
Miles Davis, Kind of Blue
Miles Davis, Relaxin' With the Miles Davis Quintet
Norris Turney, Big Sweet and Blue
Patricia Barber, Nightclub

Please contribute your suggestions to this thread.
