Oh wow! I wonder if this is the final resault of the DVD audio I heard about a while back? I'm really not up on the specifics, I just was told that the next big standard would be multi-channel DVD audio with a lot more information and much better quality. Is this it? (Yes, I realize it's not DVD.) Apparently the new higher density layers hold a good bit more data than normal CDs, but it is it up to par with the capacity of DVD? Or am I in some way compairing apples to oranges? I would like to think that they wouldn't push this new format and then turn around and switch to a new medium and ask us to buy new players all over again...
