weird problem

I got an HE Audio Jade a few days ago.  It uses the five-pin stax adapter.
 
I've been using it with my Aristaeus and it sounds great.  
 
When I try to switch over to my BHSE the headphone out will not seem to accept the plug.  Nothing is wrong with this output.  Nothing seems wrong with the plug.  
 
Any ideas?  I know others have used the BHSE with the Jade.

The Jade Stax adapters were all hand made so the build quality is crap.  The WPI sockets are also a few % smaller than the original Stax sockets so that may be the issue here plus the tighter grip of the contacts.

i figured out that it is the build quality of the adapter versus the teflon sockets.  it fits in the amphenol.
