Here's the deal: I have recently started ripping CD's to FLAC using CDEX. When playing them in Foobar they sound great, but weird things happen:
* No progress is shown in the track slider bar.
* All tracks are shown to be 3:22:54 long.
* Weird values for kpbs are shown. (12kbps, 17kbps, 24kbps)

This only happens for the CD's I have ripped myself. FLACs downloaded from the net work fine.

I've tried reinstalling the FLAC encoder and updated to the latest version of Foobar, with no change.

I'm sure this issue has come up before, so sorry if I am repeating. I tried using the search button with no luck. Thanks for any clues!

I've heard of people having problems with FLACs produced by CDEX before, but not this problem specifically. The issue was that CDEX was adding id3 tags, which essentially corrupts the FLAC file. There should be a setting somewhere in CDEX to tell it not to use id3 tags, since only vorbis comments belong as tags on FLAC files.
