I could probably ask about purchasing cheapish speakers for my PC here, at Head-Fi, but I think that there are probably more dedicated forums for such a thing. I HAD 2 pairs of Level 9 Monsoon PM 9's, which are now deceased, and I need new stuff.

I don't want to spend much since I have more expensive priorities (school, new receiver etc), but would like something decent since I like listening to music on the PC from time to time. I was looking at the Creative i-Trigue T3030, and thought that for $50 it might be decent enough.

Any comments on that one in particular, or perhaps a good link to a forum which deals with said subject matter ? I'm not going to spend more than $60 most likely, unless it's a bit more and is significantly better than a model which is a bit cheaper.

It's been a long time since I visited, but extremetech.com ran reviews on PC speakers in the past.

Your best bet is probably to google for reviews of whatever model you're interested in.

If you like forums: www.sharkyforums.com

A few of the members there moonlight as Head-Fiers.
