Mr. PD...
Huh? That is a handheld palm type device. It talks to my phone via Bluetooth for internet access.

With the Sony 802.11b card, yes you can get online at home or whereever there are 802.11b base stations.

I don't think that the palm I was looking at had bluetooth. I don't know about an add on card for 802.11.

My point being, that where I live I don't think I can access internet with my cell phone. Heck the thing doesn't even work in a lot of areas.

I hear yah. I used to be able to get internet on my cell phone (when I used to have one) around the I5 corridor, but anywhere else in oregon, and I was screwed.

Just to make you even sicker, the NZ90V drives the W1000, unamped. I don't know what they've put in it's DAC stage, but with a 320K MP3, it's seriously good.

Most other PDAs have laughable audio quality (_especially_ the Palm Tungsten), but my old Sony Clie 770 really spoiled me. It was a little trooper with audio.

Do you find the nx70v a little bulky though?

Ah well Mr. PD... I can be disturbed/have Internet Access anywhere in Europe and get at the very least 9.6K data, although GPRS coverage is patchier.

plainsong, I've had a look at the nx70 and it seems featherweight in comparison with my nz90. It's a tank but since I always have a bag, I don't mind.

LOL, I actually ment nz90. Where do they sell those in Europe? I went by Sonystyle-Europe's website, and they're not selling it, at least in Finland.

My phone does have a browser function, maybe I need a dial up number to use it. I really don't know how that works. It asks for a lot of information that I don't have answers to. Like WAP1, WAP Port1, WAP IP 2, WAP Port 2, and confirmation. What are those and where would I look for answers? I have DSL here at home throught Verizon and my phone is through US Cellular. Verizon doesn't have cell phones here.

I'm sooooo confused

When we were visiting back home, my husband, since he works for a Finnish gsm provider, helped mom when shopping for a cell phone. It was sad, the experts didn't know anything..

"Does it have a browser?"

"Oh yes of course!"

"What version of WAP?"

"Uhh... what's WAP..."

And you can see where Nokia dumps all its old phones.

They seem to forever be pushing back the release of he sd/io wifi/storage combo cards, so the answer is not yet.. but supposedly soon.

If only bluetooth networking worked properly...
