I'm looking for some advice on custom IEMs and their sound isolation.  I work in a scientific research lab, so I like IEMs that block out ambient noise but aren't so isolating that I can't hear my labmates telling me the room is on fire or whatnot. I have SE535s and am thinking about custom IEMs.

So far I've had good success with SE535s and the olive tips. They isolate great, but I can wiggle or perk my ears when I need to break the seal and hear what's going on.  For those of you who have customs, and can wiggle your ears, is that enough to break the seal and allow you to hear ambient noise?

TIA,
ooga
