I have the opportunity to get a pair of Boston Acoustics T-930 "Power Tower" floorstanding speakers from the mid 80s I am assuming. They retailed for $750 as a pair back then, which is a pretty nice set adjusting for inflation. I can get them for 185 as the set, and they are listed as "9/10."
My question is, for speakers this old, will wear and tear even if they are listed as 9/10 be very noticeable? Has technology advanced enough in speakers that a 1985 pair of very nice speakers like this don't hold a candle to what's currently available? I don't know much about these as I'm not much of a speaker person normally.
Thanks!
