I have the latest official driver version from Creative for my X-Fi Titanium Fatality Pro sound card. However, I'm still getting the "WDM driver for Creative X-Fi Audio Processor" update offer in Windows Update under Hardware section. Why? Is it normal? Has anyone else noticed that? I myself can confirm this behavior on two separate machines (both Win XP Pro SP3 x86). Is that WDM driver a complement to the Creative driver or would it simply overwrite it (if it's the latter, I'm not touching it)? Any info would be welcome.

While Windows Update can provide drivers, I have always found it best to get drivers from the manufacturer. Creative is slow on their driver updating but I think you'll get the most features that way.
