So basically I feel like my headphones are much more quiet than they should be and I thought this was to do with cables and power. But while editing a video in premiere pro I ran into an error and had to change sound class in the audio hardware preference tab. By default this was set as MME but to fix the issue I changed it to ASIO. As a result of this my Headphones were much, much louder than they usually are without too big of a drop in quality at higher volumes. It seemed to bypass the audio limit of everything else so I was wondering if it would be possible to apply this to all applications through some sort of setting. Thanks for any help

Some specs:
Windows 10
Sound card: Asus Xonar DSX
Headphones: Astro A40 tr

ASIO is a bitperfect output mode. Others include WASAPI and KS. Your sound card has ASIO support. You'll need to configure ASIO in each application you use. Not all applications support it. In those cases, you can try another bitperfect output mode.
