Has anyone had any luck getting this combination to work? The card is recognized but playback is seriously garbled (the original music is just barely recognizable). I've tried forcing different hardware sampling rates (22Khz, 44.1Khz, 48Khz) with the same result.

I'm on Gentoo kernel 2.6.15, and I tried the kernel drivers vs emerged alsa-driver 1.10 vs manual build of alsa-driver 1.11rc3. All basically exhibit the same issue.

I've also tried plugging the U24 to my XP box and manually locking the sampling rates at 44.1 and 48 but that didn't help.

Plays fine on XP and on OS X 10.3 with just the generic USB driver...

I'm pretty bummed, I really want to use this as a SPDIF transport to my home stereo! Any ideas, no matter how far fetched, are welcome.

Damn, I must be good. I fiddled some more then rebooted, and I finally got it working!!! I actually had issues with ALSA 1.0.11rc3 compiling and thought it had failed, but looking at /proc/asound/version, its actually up and running. Go figure. Anyway, I'm not complaining!
