Are there any programs that will allow me to rip my cd's wav, perserve the meta tags, and album art?

320kbps wav's?
A WAV can contained compressed audio, but are most common used to store PCM (uncompressed) audio.

Anyway, WAV don't support storing meta tags or album art. These will need to be stored in separate files. Your best option is to use a different container, example AIFF.

Well what would be a better alternative to 320kbps mp3's , maintain the meta tags and import album art?

320 Kbps Wavs would sound horrible. Wavs are 1440 Kbps or so.

Ahh it seems you meant MP3s

How much of an improvement if any, in SQ is there from a 320kbps MP3 vs 192kbps wma?

I take it you meant MP3 instead of WAV.
Most (if not all) CD ripper applications will allow you to rip from CD into MP3 audio files, and add meta tags to them as part of the process. Some will even handle album art.

My favorite are Max, for Mac OS X. And I am sure there are comparable applications for other operating systems as well.

A 192kbps wma is unlikely to be any improvement over a 320kbps MP3.

That's not what he asked. You got it back to front.

A 320 Kbps MP3 is better than a 192 Kbps WMA, generally speaking, but not by a HUGE margin. Even 128 Kbps MP3s are pretty good these days. Personally, I find 192 Kbps VBR Lame MP3s to be a good compromise between size and Quality.

Of course FLAC for hiome use.

If you want to rip lossless (which is why I assume you wanted to use WAV), then you can use Apple Lossless and get album art and metatags.

I use ogg, which handles the tags, and the iriver software looks after the album art.
