I do vaguely remember watching a Woody Allen movie made in the early 1980s and there was a living room scene where there was a silver stereo receiver, like the ones that looked like a 1970s Marantz or Yamaha type receiver . I forget which movie it was though.

I’m sure there are some other old movies out there and in the background, there’s one of those high end stereo receivers since they were more common back in the 70s.

My wife was watching "Sixteen Candles" and during the clean up of the party scene I see a record player on the shelf for a split second. I yell out that's a Marantz DP-62L turntable. She was not impressed.

I remember that scene in the movie. Turntables were very common back in those times.
