Eq boosting creates distortion. And my computer wouldn't open the zip file for Rockbox. I even had my computer whiz cousin try to figure it out....it ain't happenin'.

With Rockbox you can allow for the EQ boost to prevent distortion but that's useless info for you I know. Sucks you can't get it to work.

I played around with my 'mallows with EQ using iTunes or Media Monkey I think and I got them to sound pretty nice...before I gave them to my son.
