Hi All I am looking for warm sounding amp. The amps I am interisted are the RSA Tamahawk, Ibasso D4 and Ibasso T4. Which one of these is warm sounding that would give the most dramatic change from the regular ipod? The T2 sounds a little muddy to me.

Amps: D2 boa, T2
80GB ipod: 8GB fuze
IEMs: UE 220s, SCL4, TF10s

I believe your D2 Boa is OP AMP rollable (i.e. you can change the OP AMP to tweak the sound). So you can use different OPAMPS that lead to a warm sound signature.

Why dont you try that first before ponying up for a new amp.

I believe most OPAMPs will not cost more than $20 - $30 to try out.

For IEM's the Tomahawk is pretty Awesome. I have one pretty much day one or so just for my IEM's. Have not thought of upgrading, my Uncle Bob is so waiting for me to so he can get it. You can get one at a really good price in the F/S forum from time to time. That to me would be the choice.

I too prefer Tomahawk for use in most of my IEMs. And they are available on F/S forums for around $200 or so. All you need is two AAA batteries and a shirt pocket to carry it and you're good to go
