A few years ago I sold my Woo Audio WES and WA5-LE. I had countless headphones but my favorite have always been the Audeze LCD-3. Well, now I want to get back into the audiophile sound. = )
Currently, I am looking at the Woo Audio WA8 Eclipse coupled with a pair of Audeze LCD-i4 + Bronze Dragon Cable. Before I go ahead and buy this combo I wanted to ask you guys if you could recommend some alternatives. Maybe you know of an amp/IEM's that are better suited my needs. Again, warm and smooth is what I am after. I should also point out that I want a (trans)portable amp, not a full desktop.
Budget ~5000USD.
EDIT: Read a lot about the Jomo Audio Trinity and it seems right up my alley. Does anyone have any experience with them? I have steered clear of the i4's as I read that they are not that warm.
