hi,
i currently have a maxed out meta42 and a supermini v.1. i'm looking for a new portable amp for use with my ety 4s. my choices are right now a portable meta42 or porta corda. i was wondering which would offer the best perfomance for my set of phones. any advice and opinions would be appreciated.

I have a KurtW portable meta42, AD8620 op amp, stacked 2001 buffers. Very nice amp and it works beautifully with the ER4Ps. Runs on a single 9V battery, and gets reasonable battery life (12 ma draw from 170 mah Plainview implies about 14 hours).Others have recommended this set up with the 4s. I'll have a 4P>4S converter cable soon, and could then give an opinion.

thanks for the info. i'm intrested to see how you like it with the 4s, as i prefer to listen with the 4s instead of 4p. i've been reading other post, and see alot of people satisfied with the combo you mentioned. but still want to know how people like it with the corda just for comparision.

I use a configuration of such in my travel rig (AD8620, current source, stacked output buffers) with my ER-4S's and a Sony D-EJ01. It is very sweet.
