Want even bigger soundstage with your IE8? The MUST HAVE tip combination (with video instruction!) (and impressions!)

Jun 24, 2009 at 5:26 AM Post #16 of 52
Video instruction posted.

I will follow up on this one but shall restrain myself from posting threads like this.
I'll use the time saved to enjoy what new gimmick I invented quietly.

Well, it looks scary, but I just tried your original idea, with just flipping standard biflange, and it was shocking! I cannot stop listening...
I never expected such soundstage from IEM. Comfort vize it was horrible, but now I will definitely try this mod.

Thanks a lot!

Bi-flange is hard as hell and really hurts until you find the right spot, and that's if you have the right size
You can try putting a sony hybrid on top with a cut-in-half comply t400 around its stem.
It may improve your comfort.

Check the videos, putting the pieces all together takes about 1 min, finding a good seal half a minute.

If you can spare 2 minutes of your free time, why not give it a try?
It's not like you'll damage anything, but a lunatic do promise audio bliss and it might be true.

Steviebee, some of your posts are really funny and this is certainly one of them. However, there was a member who won several prizes in the very same category - and that would be none other than VoLTaG3

C'mon, no impressions yet? No questions? No obstacle that you couldn't solve?
I'm seriously thinking that no one even gave it a try.

I thought putting "you don't have to use sony hybrids" in red would get people's attention,
maybe I should put it on size 5.

I doubt I got anything to gain from faking this, but I'm not going to attempt anything like
this again so ta-ta-bi-doo.

Thanks, but suspicions matter not as I'm enjoying my music with unprecedented detail and
clarity.

Thank you.

Actually, I want to hear from those that hadn't burned-in that much how much difference
it makes since mine is well over 1300+ hrs.
