I made a preorder on the UK Sony site, and it says "Expected delivery time: September 26-27th"

So we should see it on stores just by the end of the month.

Can barely wait. Although I would like to import it, I don't want the volume cap.

It should be possible to fix this problem with android, right? Is it a software or a hardware cap?

There hasn't been a fix for the current models, so I won't hold my hopes too high.

I have an euro Z, and I'm ok with the volume it provides, but most people that have auditioned both capped and uncapped say that uncapped model sounds better. And I feel I'm missing something.

Huh, I wonder what it's going to cost in the US...

It seems like there's a wave of consumer-priced hi-res DAPs this year, X3, DX50, and now a sony walkman with a 24/192 dac!

At least we know sony's UI will be spot on.

Around $330-350 I think.

Yes!!   Super excited!!  Any news when it will be available in the U.S.  I rather not buy the Euro model due to volume/amp restriction.

Is their any Noise Cancelling function for this? The X has it and it does a splendid job.

I'm not into this NFC technology, pretty useless for something so small when mostly used with an IEM/Headphone. Instead of that they could have added NC or sd card.

Looks like Android is back on this. I havent ever used Android apps or google on the Z, but only to update the player.

ive been a sony fan boy since my sony  minidisc player(man that thing sounded great)

Yeah I joined in the game late with my MZ-G750, and I was so happy that the Mazda RX-8 has the minidisc as an option here in the US.  Got the unit and and installed it myself and couldn't be happier.
