Cool, turns out I used to own a WM-1 from 1981. I wonder if I still have it somewhere...I'll have to dig around and see if I can locate it. I was 11 when it was released, I remember saving up my allowance forever so I could buy it. Here's a pic of it:

That site has been mentioned before. But yeah, it is pretty cool. I bought an SRF-33W on eBay a few days ago, so I'm kind of looking forward to trying that out.

Some of the members here are also a member of poketcalculatorshow. That forum site is pretty cool and a good place to go to if you want to know about vintage Walkmans and boomboxes. It has been mentioned in a thread there that a certain member has in excess of 400 Walkmans in his personal collection.

Heh, I have a WM-1 in working order with everything. It was included in a D-5 auction that I won!
