Hello,

I have a Woo Audio 6 SE with the following upgrades (no blackgates):
MILLS voltage filter resistor, 3.3K/12W
KIWAME load resistor, 56K/2W
KIWAME resistor, 1K/2W

I've read about 3 different experiences with the EML 274B Mesh rectifier, but I have not seen any reviews of the EML 5U4G Mesh.

Jack Wu told me the EML 5U4G Mesh would be fine to use in the WA6SE. One of the EML tube vendors recommended the 274B over the 5U4G -- the thought process was that the 274B is 2.4 Amps, compared to the 5U4G at 2.0 Amps, and therefore the 274B would provide more current to the power/output tubes.

Based on this, I ordered an EML 274B Mesh. However, I'm still interested in hearing feedback on the EML 5U4G Mesh....

By the way, I already have the Sophia 274B, and love it. I'm just interested in more tube rolling!

this is a mistake. the 5u4g "pulls" 3.0A (not 2.0A) from the power transformer...
it doesn't mean more current will reach the output tubes. what determines
that is the voltage the rectifier sees on it's anode plate. the higher, the more
current it will provide.
