Got my new AT w1000 a few days back and am very impressed with them.
The SR225s wont get so much use now.
At the moment I'm using them with a Perreaux SXH1 but after seeing the photos and reading the reviews am getting an itch to try them with a PPX3.
(definitly want a valve amp with exposed valves-love the look)
Is anyone using such a combination and how do they find it.
Would like to go higher up the Singlepower ladder but freight costs,import duties and a family to feed prevent that.

For some reason the PPX3 seems to work well with any headphone as far as I can ascertain.

I have this combo now... It is probably the best paring with the w1000's so far that I have found (after using an ASL OTL MKI, RKV MKII, Perreaux SHX1, Bada PH-1 with them). It is all fairly new for me, so I am still discovering the finer nuances of it. I also just purchased a new tube for it after just a short time (an electrolux audio tube) and have been doing burn in on it, so everything is all new again. I would say that you would be well served to go with this combo... I am going to stick with it until I either move up to a MPX3 or get to reagin a listening room with my beloved magnepan speakers...

if PPX3 sounds anything like MPX3, you will have one awsome-sounding combo.
