Bozz,

don't feel afraid of trying the W1000. It really is a great can and many love it or dislike it. No one should tell you how you feel about them. Only way is to try it out yourself and just trust your own ears. Either you like or you don't like....its as simple as that.

yes, maybe i'll try to audition them as soon as my distributor get their hands of W1K for demo purpose

Once you get used to the tight bass, you will notice the W1000's excellent impact, and the very enjoyable mediums. Pair them with a warm source (tube amp for example) and they will make you smile.
They are without pity for poor sources or amps though.
