Have you ever encountered a "KODO, drummers of Japan", it's a audiophile recording where half of the first track is averaging at -50 dB (meaning the quiet moments are possibly 10 dB lower) and the second half of the track is averaging at -20 dB?
That's possiby the most dynamic CD I've ever come across.
