Hello

I am currently testing the Schiit Valhalla, and wonder where do people have the volume?, as I am finding to get the music loud (all be it, it is loud!) the volume has to be 3 quarters the way round (about 2-3 oclock)

My setup is Laptop (USB) -> MHDT Paradisea+ (DAC, USB) -> Schiit Valhalla -> Sennheiser HD650

Does the volume pot normally have to be right the way round to get the headphones to a loud volume?

Thanks
Chris7opher.

That doesn't seem right.  I ran mine at 10:00 for my DT990s.

Is the volume at the source (your laptop) set to 100%?

I had to do the same but was dependent on headphone model. When I have an analog out from a source I tend to turn it one notch down from 100%. Maybe that's not necessary anymore and I'm just old but I remember having some older devices that could potentially clip on output.
