hi, 

anyone else tried using adobe audition(noob user here) to analyse songs after sensing volume imbalance issues?

it seems most pop songs, electronic, rock etc (even gangnam style) has the singer's voice or overall sound output concentrate more towards the right ear. 

i tried playing around with the <swap left and right> option in <channel mixer> but for most of these "imbalanced" songs i still feel the soundstage is more focused at the right ear, it almost feels like the singer is more towards the right than singing into the middle of my face.

in most of these songs even after swapping left and right audio, it's only the drums/percussion/background instruments that move from right to left but usually the singer's voice still stays at the same position at the right. 


even after i extract the left and right mono track from an original song and play only the mono track, the sound still sounds more focused towards the right. this happens even for electronic/dance music which is really creeping me out.

the volume imbalance is not by a lot but when you listen to songs for hours it's really irritating cause it feels like the left ear is so much more silent and quite literally the right ear fatigues more than the left.

 

anyone understand why this is happening or experiencing very similar stuff when listening to songs?

okay... i have this issue all the other way around lol....   i believe either we have a weird ear autonomy or having bad fit issues with iems... try using Comply foam p series tips.... whats ur IEM?  even i have no idea why this clearly happens

i am using the Sunrise Xcape IE right now.
 
but i had the same issue with my cheap Panasonic RP-HJE270-K in the past too.
 
i'm afraid if i am suffering from some sort of ear condition or deafness/impairment that's why i am posting for opinion from audio professionals here.

I don't understand, if you think its some medical condition what can anyone help you with here, audio professionals aren't doctors.  If its not and there's something wrong with your IEM then you need to get them replaced.

usually i find out more info from articles and experienced community folks on the net than the specialist which i already visited.
 
the doctors session only last minutes and they are more interested in getting over and done with you than a genuine interest in your concerns and well-being. that is the perception that i am always led to, from my history of interacting with doctors.
