I'm trying to find music with great vocals like those from Jefferson Airplana, Janis Joplin. Suggestions ?

Many great vocals out there, ranging from the Mamas and Papas to Simon & Garfunkel, Joe Cocker, etc... When you say like Jefferson Airplane and Janice what do you mean exactly?

Check out Sandy Denny. I love the 3 albums she did with Fairport Convention ("What We Did on Our Holidays", "Unhalfbricking", and "Liege & Lief").  I haven't listened to much of her other stuff (solo, Fotheringay, and The Strawbs) yet, but it's on my to do list.
