which way should i go for a good portable headphone. i have heard the m80 and like its smoothness but could live without its mid bass hump. i will be using them more for out and about stuff like walking, running etc. so the durability of the m80 really appeals and i am 80% there but just am curious as to whether i should go for the esw9 as i listen to more folk, country and classic rock rather than hip hop or dance or dubstep.

there must be someone out there who has heard both. i really love the m80 but just want to check if the esw9 will be better for folk, classic rock, female vocals. and if it has a little less of a mid bass hump.

cmon help a brother out

I haven't heard the M80s but the ESW9 would be a terrible choice for running due to the leather ear cups. But really if you are doing any kind of extended running (i.e., anything more than running to catch a bus) full size is not really the way to go.
