The title says it all really, I am either going to get the V-Moda Crossfade LP2 and get a Fiio E11 pocket amp. OR I will just get the V-Moda M-100. the difference is about 40$...any advice?

Not to mention this thread. It's probably not prudent to make duplicate threads of essentially very similar questions where you could keep it on at least one thread. If you feel like no one's answering, do wait a while or just bump the thread if it's gone on for more than at least a day and no one has replied yet.
M100s. Even nonaudiophiles who listen to both at the store I work at can tell the difference.
Neither particularly need an amp to begin with and with the M100s it only cleans up the sound a bit making the bass tighter a bit and maybe helping the treble or midrange depending on the amp.
The LP2s have in comparison rather bloated bass. I don't think the E11 will make much difference either, if anything it will make them sound darker since the E11 is on the warmer side from what I hear, which for a bassy headphone you don't need, nor want in my opinion.
Just getting the M100 which is rather easily driven would be the better buy. If you want an amp I'd save up for one that would better compliment the M100s or whichever headphones you have at the time.
