Baroque is probably not my favorite, but I really love this little piece. familiar with it? Any recommendations on a quality recording of it? I have a version by Narciso Yepes I found for $4, and it's ok, but I'm hoping for something better. I think Sharon Isbin has done a recording, but I'm having problems figuring out which CD it's on.

Listing on Amazon.com is here.

My favorite version is actually a lute performance by Daniel Benko on Hungaroton.

The recorded sound is exceptional--warm, close with great soundstaging. The lute makes a world of differnce in the presentation of the piece. I dug it out after replying and have it play as I type this. You did me a favor by reminding me that I hadn't listened to the recording in a long time. Thanks.

I like the recording so much I bought a second copy I found on a sale table. If you want to PM me, I'll let you have it.
