Somebody is selling because "I find it too easy to drive with some of my gear" I think I've read it all now, time for another break from HeadFi I think.

That’s was me. They’re incredibly sensitive which means volume control can be less than ideal or they pick up background noise very easily. I listen quietly, often it’s either too soft or too loud for me.

Sounds like the VE10 will be perfect for use with my crippled Sony DAP then. Isn't the issue really with massivly over-powered source gear, it has to be 10W, 6V and balanced or else it's "NOT LOUD ENOUGH FOR ME!!!"

The VE10 @ 118.6dB for 100mV so less than 100mV could easily damage users hearing.

Decent, not crazy low impedance too at 8.4 ohms, should work great with most low power DAP's
