Hi. Is it possible for me to take part in the tour too, please? This would be awesome. I‘m from Germany.
Sorry for being so late, but I didn’t know about it till now. 🙈

As we already started the tour I will have to see if we will get still time to get it to other users. First priority will be to get it to the UK at the end. If the time will allow us I can make a new schedule. It all depends if we get the allowance to keep it longer. I will post the update in the future.
Thank you for your work ! I will contact you later in private about scheduling.

Call me interested too - would be glad to participate if not to late...

Hmm can’t say my impressions align much with yours but that’s the beauty of this hobby I guess. Will be curious to read others impressions as the tour continues.
Yeah, not many people want less details, indeed. And most manufacturers would be out of business if we´d all like the same stuff. I'd be curious how you find them, if you feel like sharing.

I find them brighter leaning and not bassy at all. You can certainly make them bassier with source pairings, tips and cables etc but relative to what I’m used to, the mk2 came off as bass light on first listen. My categorisation would put them as a sub bass centric set over something like the OG which is overtly mid-bassy. I Also don’t find them overly detailed, I’d say they are nicely detailed (slightly more so than the OG) but don’t throw that detail in your face and they are quite a bit less detailed than the Raven and Odins… I think the VE10 might slightly edge it out as well.

Not surprised about the bass, often my sets are lacking in bass for other people. Maven 2, Mest 3, now and then, people complain about lack of bass. But the EBC80, which was fine for me, was to bassy for my friend who has the OG EXT, which I prefer over the 2. I could only use spinfit cp145 with EXT2, I think they elevate the bass a little.
But I'd choose EXT 2 over VE10, if my memory serves me right. Dita Project M is one of my favourite sets... treble centric. Probably the music also makes a difference. Anyway, thanks for sharing, it's always interesting for me to find out how others perceive the same sets.

A bit longer than I intended, but my opinion is now online, https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/vision-ears-ext-mkii.27983/reviews

LE: I have a lot of photos left, I might spam this thread from time to time... :)
Interesting and fun review to read. I did try the Maven 2 at CanJam NYC this year and really liked it, but I did prefer the EXT II at the end of the day.

This quote of yours interested me "I think they are too expensive for a fun set and too fun to be my everyday set."

I kinda find these, WITH a bass boost EQ, to kind of bridge the gap between fun and everyday set. They bridge the divide between fun and highly detailed resolution. These are amazingly technical with just layers of sound. I do love the mids and bass - I do need to boost the bass though to enter into the fun set territory, but that is easy enough with my main sources for these. I give a nice low-shelf boost to 80hz and under, plus a nice peak mid-bass boost. Both like +3db.

I definitely agree with poorer recordings and once in a while, they can really reveal issues in the treble. While that issue does arise, it's too infrequent to make it a big issue, but keeps them from being the perfect set. Still on my search to find the perfect set, but with that EQ, these are quite close. I always end up missing the detail in these within such a pleasing overall signature. But I agree, they do need more bass - without the bass boost I would miss that too often.

Thanks.
For this kind of money though, I sort of expect something that doesn't require EQ. Maven 2 is almost half the price and I only had to find a cable to enhance stage and airyness in the treble. This is why I said they're too expensive for a fun set. The Deuce (EQ-ed) or Maestro mini I can afford as "fun sets", but not these. I did enjoy the EXT2, but after an album I needed a break. This the too fun to be my daily workhorse part.

What source did you use out of curiosity? I don’t find them fatiguing at all and feel that they focus on timbre and naturalness over “fun”. I’d say the OG leans much more in that direction. I find EXT2 a great all a-rounder and find myself reaching for them daily… potentially a preference difference or maybe a source / cable pairing issue.

AK SP3000T in hybrid mode with and without Brise Tsuranagi, with Yatono Ultimate Mini interconnect, that does wonders to the IE900, cleaning up the bass and taking it to a whole new level of control and precision.
AK SR35 (while travelling). Cayin N3U was actually quite a good pairing.
Teac UD-507 at home, medium gain. High was too powerful, besides was only enhancing bass and soundstage (over medium, that is).
Had a brief stint with Cayin C9 ii, which was way to warm for me and it was all bass. I was told afterwards that it was that particular unit that is warm, not all of them.
Cables only stock and Code 24C, LL Venom. Venom was ok, but aesthetically rather bizarre.
Tips mostly Spinfit CP145, some Azla Origin (short) and of course Eletech Baroque (did not improve much).
I'd say it's not for lack of trying.
I want to be clear, though, they are very good and I liked them, but there are others that I like more. My Maven 2 and Cadenza 12 have been criticised as being too safe or even plain boring, whereas I find them to be close to Traillii in terms of enjoyment.
I'd be curious how you find these two, I presume they will lack bass and have narrow soundstage for you.
From memory, EXT 1 was somehow better for me. Did not have them both for direct comparison, that's why I didn't put it in my review. Also, the fit was better for me, this could also be a factor.
To give you an idea about me, I did not buy Anni, because although I loved its treble, the bass was meh with SP3000T and mid bass too forward with Tsu.
I have to choose carefully, as I can't afford to buy expensive sets only because they are fun, need to make sure I can use them for hours and hours.
Did not have such questions/doubts with Traillii. And I have sold the ISN EBC80, although I liked it, but I wasn't 100% into it (and also to finance the Cadenza 12).
In a perfect world, I'd buy Anni and EXT2 and many others. But, as I live in the real world, I have to prioritise.
