I'm considering buying an old Sony CDP-30 because I want a standalone source and it seems like going for older models is a good way to get good sound inexpensively. Does anyone know about the Sony CDP-30? Thanks!
VERY GOOD for the money, even for the C note they're getting lately. I picked oe up a week ago; paired it with some Edifier 1280DB powered speakers and have basically been using it non stop the last 3 days. Cleaning the moving bits and lens improved the skip resistance at least 100%. Inexpensive simple , stick on single point feet give a bit of refinement and focus; a 20 dollar cutting board pulled a lot of glare that remained out. A nice, simple, cd and BT dining room set that sounds VERY NICE, regardless of cost.
