Hey everyone I am new to head-fi, I have been looking around at some vintage head phones, are some of the older headphones still good by today's standards for the price? http://bit.ly/1kK5vxr this is one I found on eBay, there is no information on the specs but the build quality looks good!

It all depends on what period of time that you think "vintage" covers.  For the most part cans from before 2000 or so do not measure up to quality current offerings.  There are some exceptions, like the Grados.

Specific cans are the pioneer se-l40 from the 60's or 70's
